Order of Worship

10:15 (Espoo) & 16:00 (Helsinki)

For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

– Romans 12:45 (NIV)

Song 1   Glory (Let There Be Peace)

Song 2 –  His Mercy is More

Song 3 – How Beautiful

Our welcome team members will pass an offering basket during this song. For information about giving online, please visit ucclife.fi/give or follow the QR code on the screen.

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him, all creatures here below
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Praise God for all that he has done
Praise Him for Jesus’ reign begun!
He came with love to make us one;
He will return, His kingdom come!

Amen.

At this time in our gathered worship, we enter into a time of confession. The Scriptures tell us that if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. Let us therefore join our voices in confessing before God and one another that we have all sinned, and all fall short of the glory of God.

People: God of Grace,
We grieve that the church which shares one Spirit,
one faith, one hope, and one calling,
has become a broken communion in a broken world.
The one body spans
all time, place, race, and language,
but in our fear
we have fled from and fought one another,
and in our pride
we have mistaken our part for the whole.
Yet we marvel that you gather the pieces to do your work,
that you bless us with joy,
with growth,
and with signs of unity.
Forgive our sins as we commit ourselves
to seeking and showing
the unity of the body of Christ.
In his name, Amen.

Leader: In Christ we have the forgiveness of sins
and the riches of God’s grace.
This grace was given to us:
to preach to the nations the
unsearchable riches of Christ,
and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery,
which for ages past was kept hidden in God,
who created all things.

People: His intent was that now,
through the church
the manifold wisdom of God
should be made known.

Leader: Let us pray.

1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.

“When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you. Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.

“When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you.Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10 But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, 11 ‘Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near.’

Luke 10:1–11

Song 4 – Let Us Be Known

Please hold the elements until all have received, so that we can partake together.

Song 5 –  Your Glory / Nothing But the Blood

We will sing this song until all have received the elements. Please hold the elements until all have received, so that we can partake together.

We will take the elements together.

This is Christ’s body, broken for you; Christ’s blood shed for you.

Song 6 – Lead on , O King Eternal

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name;
your kingdom come;
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who have sinned against us.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen.

25 the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

Numbers 6:24-26 (ESV)
