Order of Worship
10:15 (Espoo)
Hear God call you to worship through his Word:
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.”
–Revelation 21:3–6

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him, all creatures here below
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Amen
In ourselves, we cannot live up to the standards of holiness that God sets out for us. But because we in ourselves cannot, we look to Christ, the author and perfecter of our faith and the one who has purchased our freedom from sin. In his name, we humbly and joyfully come to the Father and confess our sins before him and each other, knowing that he is quick to forgive and near with love.
Confession of Sin
Lord, you are our Father and we are but dust;
You are our Creator, and we are the work of your hands;
You are our Shepherd, we are your flock;
You are our Redeemer, we are the people that you have purchased:
You are our God, we are your inheritance.
Therefore, do not be angry with us to correct us in your fury.
No longer remember our iniquity to punish it,
But chastise us gently in your kindness.
Your wrath is kindled because of our demerits;
But remember that your name
has been pronounced over us
And that we bear your mark and standard.
And continue, rather, the work
that you have begun in us by your grace,
That all the earth might know that
you are our God and our Saviour.
Amen.
– John Calvin
Assurance of Forgiveness
Hear and receive these words of comfort from the Lord our God through the prophet Isaiah:
“Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.”
–Isaiah 40:1–2
Let’s pray.

Hear the Word of the Lord:
“18 Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour.19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us. 20 But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge. 21 I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. 24 Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that he made to us—eternal life.
26 I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you. 27 But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.”
This is the Word of God.

Song 5 — Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
Song 6 — All Glory Be To Christ
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name;
your kingdom come;
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who have sinned against us.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen.
24 The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
