Order of Worship
10:15 (Espoo)
Song 1 – Blessed Assurance
Hear God call you to worship through his Word:
Psalm 84:1-2 ESV
““How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God.”“
Let us worship the Lord!
Song 2 – All Creatures of our God and King
Song 3 – The King of Love My Shepherd Is
Song 4 – How Deep the Father’s Love For Us
It is good and right that we take a moment to together come before our loving Heavenly Father to confess our sins. We come before him with joyful confidence that he is quick to forgive, and eager to love.
Confession of Sin
Dear Heavenly Father,
we lower our heads before you
and we confess that we have
too often forgotten that we are yours.
Sometimes we carry on our lives
as if there was no God
and we fall short
of being a credible witness to You.
For these things we ask your forgiveness
and we also ask for your strength.
Give us clear minds and open hearts
so we may witness to You in our world.
Remind us to be who You would have us to be
regardless of what we are doing
or who we are with.
Hold us fast to You
and build our relationship with You
and with those You have given us on earth.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Assurance of Forgiveness
We declare with the psalmist from Psalm 34:4-5 saying, “I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.”
Let’s pray.

Hear the Word of the Lord:
” 13 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 19 We love because he first loved us. 20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.“
This is the Word of God.
If you love God, you must love your brother
– 1 John 4:13-21
- Abide in God’s love and God abides in you (vv 13-16)
- Abide in God’s love and be confident before God (vv 17-18)
- Abide in Gods love and love your brother (vv 19-21)
Song 6 — When I Survey the Wondrous Cross
Song 7 — Your Glory
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name;
your kingdom come;
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who have sinned against us.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen.
24 The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
