Order of Worship

26th of October 2025 | 10:30 (Espoo) & 16:00 (Helsinki)

Blessed are you, O Lord, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name.

Our welcome team members will pass an offering basket during this song.

23 When they were released, they went to their friends and reported what the chief priests and the elders had said to them. 24 And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God and said, “Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them, 25 who through the mouth of our father David, your servant, said by the Holy Spirit,
“ ‘Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples plot in vain?
26  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers were gathered together,
against the Lord and against his Anointed’—
27 for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, 28 to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place. 29 And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, 30 while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

           I. Boldness is a Church Community Endeavor
II. Boldness is Built on Faith in God’s Sovereignty
III. The Strength and Opportunity to Be Bold Only Comes From God

Acts 4:23-31

1) When you consider your life with Jesus, how bold have you been with sharing the Gospel? If you enjoy sharing the Gospel, share a little about why you are emboldened and why you enjoy it. If you rarely share the Gospel, or shy away from it, share what keeps you reserved and hesitant..

2) Take a look at Acts 4:23-31. What are the particulars the church prays for? How do each of these prayer points build a foundation to share the Gospel boldly? In particular, how does faith in God’s sovereignty give us a sure foundation to stand on to be bold in sharing the Gospel?

3) When you share the Gospel, what should we say? What are the major points of the Gospel to share? Do you have a method for sharing the Gospel that you have found helpful?

4) What is the Spirit’s role in being bold to share the Gospel? How is the work of the Spirit presented in the passage?

5) At the end of the sermon Pastor Jared listed several ways we can be bold with the Gospel:  Not “Yessing” a friend along, but standing up for God’s truth, bringing God’s word and prayer into hard situations with lost friends and family, Bible study with unbelieving co-workers, not compromising and stating why with your employer, standing for God in the public square (politics & media) as God gives opportunity, working at discipling your kids and leading family in Bible study and worship, trusting God in faith in our suffering, sharing with people in the course of life, making intentional time to meet with friends and family to share the Gospel. In which of these ways may God be calling you to step out in boldness?

6) As a group, pray like what was demonstrated to us by the church in Acts 4:23-31 and by Paul in Colossians 4:3-6.
