Song 1 – 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)

Hear God call you to worship through his Word:

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

– ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭ESV‬‬

‭‭Let us worship the Lord!

Song 2 – Look and See

Song 3 – This is Our God

Song 4 – There is a Redeemer

It is good and right that in our gathered worship we take a moment to acknowledge our faults and sins before God and each other, remind ourselves of how deeply we need forgiveness and renewal from God, and how freely we can come to him in confession. Let us read the following words together as one people, as his people.

Confession of Sin
God Emmanuel, God with us,
You see how often we fail to live
in the fullness of your love
and in the perfection of your commands.

Forgive us according to your promise, Lord.
Hold us fast in your grace and mercy.
Help us live with kindness and love
towards you and towards one another.
Help us to want to love you and one another.

Renew us by your Holy Spirit,
in the name of your gentle and just son, Jesus.
Amen.

Assurance of Forgiveness

Psalm 86 verse 5 says:
“For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.”

Confident therefore in his steadfast love, let us pray.

Hear the Word of the Lord:

6 This is he who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree.”

This is the Word of God.

Song 7 — Blessed Assurance

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name;
your kingdom come;
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who have sinned against us.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen.
