Women of the Word

Women of the Word (WOW) is a monthly gathering of ladies who are currently doing a topical study on Fruits of the Spirit. So far this Spring, WOW has discussed contentment, beauty, hope and joy. Our next topic is patience.

Our next meeting will be on Friday the 30th of September from 18-20 at Miriam’s apartment in downtown Helsinki.

Study materials can be found below – the general idea is that everyone will do some independent study on the topic of the month, and then we will discuss together in person when we meet.

You are warmly welcome to join whether or not you’ve had time to look at the study materials, but please sign up with Miriam (0407259049) for address details.

  • Consider the following quote from the above podcast. “…in Colossians 3, makrothymia is a sign to us as our calling, and it appears in a sequence of three anger management words: Patience, forbearance, and forgiveness. So, Paul is talking about anger management, not saying that we all need to be stoics as Christians, or to overlook, especially big injustices, but we need to manage the anger that arises in us, either legitimately or not.” Which of the three aspects mentioned do you struggle with most?
