40 Days of Lent 2023
February 22nd - April 6th
Have you ever wondered what Lent is all about?
Lent is season of time marked in the Christian calendar which observes 40 days leading up to Easter. Lent always begins on what is known as Ash Wednesday and culminates on Maundy Thursday of Holy Week, or Thursday the week of Easter. This year, Lent takes place from February 22nd until April 6th.
During the 40 days Lent, at UCC we set aside time for reading, prayer, and fasting. It’s a way to take time to dig into Jesus’ life and ministry in a deeper, and to follow his road to the cross.
Bible & Books
Since Lent is the season that focuses on the last days of Jesus’ ministry leading up to his crucifixion, here are a few readings plan that can help you follow that journey to the cross during season.
