The Easter Outreach 2023 begins with a three day deep-dive into the message of Easter. The conference is followed by a Baltic Outreach to Tallinn, Estonia.
Hope for Finland
We want to be built up in Christ and grow in Him together. Just as He has reached down and come into our own hearts we also want to reach into the community that surrounds us with the hope of His transforming message.
Come join us over Easter weekend in Helsinki & Espoo!
From Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday, we will offer a variety of events! We’ll have morning devotions and street evangelism training, some hands on practice in evangelism, a Good Friday worship service, a Saturday evening rap concert, a Sunday morning combined worship service (combined several congregations) and even an Easter carnival.
Come be part of what God is doing here in the capital region of Finland!
Conference & Outreach
During our three main days in Helsinki & Espoo we want to look deeply into the Easter story. Everything we will share with others must first be fanned into flame within us. Together we will look at the death and resurrection of our Savior and celebrate his victory over sin, death and Satan. The hope we have gained through Jesus Christ is to be made known to all people. The Easter Conference will culminate locally in our Resurrection Sunday morning service on April 9th at UCC Espoo. On Easter Sunday morning, we will join together for a morning worship service with both of UCC’s two congregations as well as some of our neighbouring local congregations. The worship service will be followed by a community event – carnival style!
Baltic Outreach
On Sunday evening, an outreach team will head out via ship for the Baltic Outreach. We’re going to spend time in Tallin where we eagerly look forward to connecting with an internationl church-plant. Under the leadership and training of Richard Sharp and Steve Brazell, we will evangelize on board the ferries and in the cities of Tallinn and Helsinki. We want to pray for and bless the Baltic region, which has been under a lot of stress recently. Let’s bring hope to the Baltics!
Why Finland?
Like much of Europe, Finland has become a post-Christian society in which secularism, atheism, and worship of self have begun to thrive. There is also an immensely diverse immigrant population from various backgrounds and belief systems who now call Finland home. Unfortunately while there are beautiful cathedrals and churches throughout Finland many people see Christianity as an old and dying out religion and do not yet know the saving power of the risen Christ! We want to see the Gospel go out boldly and change the lives of those who would receive it! We want to see people from every tribe and tongue finding forgiveness, joy and eternal life in the risen Christ!

Prayer for Finland
- Pray that God would raise up more believers to serve either full-time, part-time or on a volunteer basis to serve in Nordic Europe.
- Pray for long-term solutions for young immigrants who want to believe in Jesus but have difficulties with getting settled and beginning their new lives here.
- Pray for a spiritual breakthrough for this nation, for new churches to be planted, and existing churches to grow.
Long Term Vision
Often Finland and the Nordic countries are said to be the happiest people on earth. By some studies this may be true – but what we don’t see from these studies is the deep spiritual darkness that is so prevalent here. There is tremendous spiritual need in Finland.
Our vision is to host a conference that will empower and embolden local churches with the message of the resurrected Lord and to share it in Helsinki and beyond! We want to see new churches planted and existing churches grow! Come be part of sharing the Good News of Jesus here in Finland!
