What a joy it is to be entering into the advent season! We look forward to all our Christmas events, Advent & Christmas worship services, and the pure simple joy of being with our church community.
On this page you can find everything you need to know about our Christmas season, including downloadable resources which you can use to share and invite friends along.
Welcome to the church office on Saturday the 2nd of December for Advent Crafts! You can make your own advent calendar, or decorate an advent cookie or candle. We will offer light refreshments.
Drop in any time between 10-12 AM!
The 3rd of December is the First Advent, and we will observe the Lord’s Supper at both our normal worship services. Join us in Espoo at 10:30 or Helsinki at 16:00.
UCC kids and youth ministry is having a potluck Christmas party on December the 8th from 17:30 to 20:00 at the church offices. Welcome all 3rd-12th graders.
The best costume will win a prize – feel free to dress up as christmassy as you want! (However, please join the fun even if you don’t have a costume to wear)!
Join our Christmas outreach team on Saturday the 9th of December to share hot drinks and Christmas fliers in front of Iso Omena!
The team, led by Mark Westlund, will meet at 14:00 at the church office to make final preparations before moving to the mall. Contact Mark with any questions! (You can find his number on the slide below.)
One of our beloved traditions at UCC is to have a combined Christmas service a few weeks into the month of December. Our congregation join together as one body and we always a little something special in these combined services.
The service will take place in the gym hall of the Valotalo (Matinkartanonkatu 13, Espoo), and we will have children’s program in English and Finnish for 3-5 year olds as well as pre-school to 2nd graders.
The service will be followed by a time of warm fellowship with a potluck lunch feast. If you contribute to the potluck, please bring your food in a disposable plate/bowl, 100% ready to serve.

On the 17th December at both our services we will have a “Carols by Candlelight” style carol service, celebrating the Christmas Story through carols, song, and scripture readings.
Join us for Christmas Eve Sunday Worship at 10:30 at our Espoo location (Matinkartanontie 13) for a morning worship service and a light christmassy fellowship.
